
As President of one of Calgary's success stories, Flagworks Inc., Arlene has been involved extensively in all aspects of business and community life arriving in Calgary in 1983.
Some of her business awards include: Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Prairie Division, Pinnacle Award, YWCA Women of Distinction Award for Business.
Arlene has been involved continually with many boards, large and small: Calgary Economic Development Agency, Federal Board of Taxation Small Business Ottawa, Founder & President Chickwagon Foundation for Women and in various capacities at SAIT, ACAD, University of Calgary, Fine Arts.
With the Calgary Chamber of Commerce, she's been an active member and participant, on and off, for over 20 years. The explosive transition of the Calgary Chamber at this time is of great interest to her. She is a great asset to the board in this challenging transition and will be extremely helpful as a champion for small business and entrepreneurs.
Arlene is a graduate of University of Alberta, B of Commerce and a participant in the Harvard School of Business for Executive Studies - Small Business.
