The Chamber's membership programs and services span a huge range of facilities, events and other offerings. With so much to choose from, members sometimes need help navigating their way through to find the services that best meet their needs.

Your membership representative is available to answer any questions you may have, and will be pleased to assist you in making the most of your membership in the Calgary Chamber of Commerce.

How do I become a member of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce?

This can be done in person, over the phone, or online. For assistance, call the Membership Department at (403) 750-0400.

What are the membership rates at the Calgary Chamber of Commerce?

You can enroll as a member as an individual or by organization, the rates vary by employee size for your organization. For assistance, call the Membership Department at (403) 750-0400.

How do I get in touch with other members?

The best way to contact other members is to attend our networking events, speaker events or sit on a committee. Alternately, you can consult our online member directory or through our annual printed membership directory.

How do I propose a new idea/partership to the Chamber?

You can propose a new idea to the Chamber by contacting the Membership department at (403) 750-0400 or sending an email to membership@calgarychamber.com.

How do I access the members only section on the website?

Upon joining the Chamber, you will receive an automatic email from our CRM computer system that provides your personal password. To log into the member only section of our web site, type in your email address for the username and your personal password into the password box.

Can I rent or buy your mailing list or your member database?

No. The Calgary Chamber of Commerce has a privacy policy that does not allow the sale or rental of member names, emails or phone numbers to businesses or individuals.

I would like to charge my attendance at events, the Commerce Club dining room and my room reservations to my club account. How can I do this?

You may charge registrations and dining to your club account by signing the authorization section of your Membership Application when you first join, or by signing a simple authorization form afterwards. We will then send a monthly invoice to your membership address. Contact the Membership Department for a faxed or electronic authorization form at 750-0420.

Do I need to bring my Chamber member card with me for every dining experience and event?

No. If you've pre-registered for an event, we will be expecting you. If you are attending an event or a lunch as a non-registered member and you wish to charge your club account, it is helpful if you could provide the name of your firm and your club account number.

How do I get a Proud Member Chamber logo onto my web site?

Easy. Contact our Membership department at 750-0420 to request a logo and logo useage guidelines.

Where's my Member card?

You'll find your membership card at the bottom of the Welcome Letter that we mail to new members. If your card is lost or stolen and you would like a new card, please don't hesitate to contact us at 750-0420.

How do I book a breakfast or lunch?

Phone the Chamber at (403) 750-0400 and ask to make reservations for the Commerce Club. The restaurant is open weekdays for breakfast from 6:45 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and lunch from 11:45 a.m. to 1: 30 p.m. The restaurant accepts VISA, MasterCard, American express, Diners, EnRoute, debit or you may charge your dining to your club account.

For club account charges you'll need to have signed the authorization section of your Membership Application when you first joined, or a simple authorization form afterwards. You'll be sent a monthly invoice to your membership address. Contact the membership department for a faxed or electronic authorization form at 750-0420. For your convenience, the gratuity is already included in your bill.

What kind of meeting rooms are available and how do I book one?

The Chamber has a number of meeting and function rooms that range in size from day offices for up to 5, executive boardrooms seating up to 24 or the ENMAX ballroom, which can comfortably accommodate up to 250 guests.

Members receive preferred rates and rentals can include full in-house catering, ranging from simple coffee and water service, to hot and cold appetizers, to a full service executive meal for formal black-tie events. Several of our venues also feature audio-visual, networking and teleconferencing equipment. To book, please call the Facilities Department at (403) 750-0400 and they will be happy to help you.

What type of events can we book the Chamber facilities for?

Anything. Our event coordinators are happy to help you create a successful event whether it is a private business meeting, strategy sessions, sales presentations, private dinner, wedding or Christmas party!

How do I sign up for your speaker events? Can I bring a non-member with me?

To register for a seat or table go to our Chamber Events page or call 750-0426. Please allow 48 hours for confirmation.

Great sponsorship and partnership opportunities are available, which allow companies to raise their profile and book private meetings with our guest speakers. For more information, please contact Ron Peters at (403) 750-0411.

Can we rent your beautiful historic ballroom for a wedding? As a member, can we rent it at a discount for our reception?

Chamber membership includes discounted rates on all our facility bookings. So the answer is a definite yes. To book, please call either Sharon Hobbs or Tania Hodges in our Facilities Department at (403) 750-0400 and they will be happy to quote you a special members rate and finalize your booking.

I understand you offer discounts on goods and services. How do I enroll?

The Calgary Chamber of Commerce is part of the network of Canadian Chambers of Commerce and together we offer tremendous buying power. As a result, we offer excellent rates on insurance; lowered rates on debit and credit card purchases, and other local discount programs.

We offer Member-to-Member discounts on a variety of goods and services. (Are you interested in offering a service? Contact Chris Graham) Some members use this avenue to increase their exposure to Calgary's business community. Others take advantage of the savings and build excellent relationships with other Chamber members.

Any Chamber member in good standing with a special deal to offer other Chamber members is welcome to participate.

How do I join a Chamber committee?

To join a committee or to get more information, please contact the our Committee Administrator in our Public & Government Affairs department at (403) 740-0400. The Chamber's committees welcome a diverse range of volunteers, from small business owners to large company representatives, who are each committed to learning, networking, and offering professional advice on critical issues of public policy.

Can I use the Business Centre?

The Business Centre is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Chamber's Commerce Cafe, complete with Starbucks coffee, pastries, and and house-made deli luncheon choices, is located on our first floor. It is open from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays.

If you need an office for an hour or a day, please take advantage of our comfortable tables and chairs, desks with computers, video conferencing or quiet offices.

We provide courier service, document certification, faxing, high-speed Internet access, mailbox rentals, and workstations.

How can I best market my business at the Chamber?

Your membership in the Chamber brings with it many opportunities for marketing and advertising your business products and services. The best way to market yourself or your company at the Chamber is to get involved. Members have an opportunity to sit on Chamber committees and to participate in speaker and annual events.

We also recommend you attend our regular event called, "How to Market Yourself at the Chamber." which is part of the Business Success Series.
